A lot of attorneys handle real estate closings. I suggest hiring an experienced attorney (like me) for what probably will be the biggest investment of people’s lives: their homes. My clients with investment real estate also require an attorney with lots of experience.
I have handled the smallest transactions (vacant lots) all the way through multi-million dollar investment properties. Regardless of the dollar amount, real estate transactions need to be handled well, as they are all very similar. Recently, I started representing school districts in their purchases of land for a variety of uses. Understanding the essential components of the real estate transaction makes these deals functionally identical.
I handle the sale, the title insurance, and whatever else my clients need.
Being an attorney since 1988, I have represented countless buyers and sellers of real estate. Right now, the real estate market is “hot”. Properties get bought and sold very quickly, and this requires even more caution than ever before.
My parents were both realtors, and they taught me everything about buying and selling real estate. My Dad always used to quote the National Association of Realtors, “Under all is the land”. It was either Mark Twain or Will Rogers who used to say, “Buy land – they’re not making any more of it.”
So, remember me when you are buying or selling real estate. You will be glad you did, as I bring lots of experience to the closing table.
